Each year, we take a week, a day, or a moment to remember our Veterans.  We take time to acknowledge those who continue to serve in peacekeeping missions or military actions, those who serve here at home or across the world, and in doing so, we pledge to Never Forget.  In our Never Forgetting, we must also remember those brave men and women who still need our help – those for whom the trauma was too great, the loss too severe, the physical and emotional price too high.  Those who wander our streets, battle with addiction and struggle with day to day life.

To that end, you are invited to watch this video, and consider how you and your family and friends might be able to contribute to “United We Stand” which is our United Church Region’s campaign to support Veteran’s House. The Region has set a fundraising goal of $150,000 and we are pleased to announce that the Commissioner’s have agreed to match all United Church of Canada contributions made before June 30th, 2021.

Please make your donation directly to “Multi-faith Housing”, and be sure to note “Kanata United Church/UCC We Stand” on the memo line so your contribution will be matched.
