‘ONE OF A KIND’ BOOK FAIR AT KANATA UNITED CHURCH

What is so special about our Book Fair? A few things, actually.

  • We have well over 30,000 books arranged into about 65 categories, with the Fiction alphabetized and the Non-Fiction categories all sub-categorized. That means, that if we have the book you want, you will probably find it. Many of the categories, like Sci-Fi/Fantasy, as just one example, are organized by enthusiasts knowledgeable in the particular category. The quality of our books also amazes everyone. Visitors to our Book Fair say they have never seen anything like it.
  • Two of our rooms are devoted solely to kids’ books. It’s just like a mini Book Fair... divided into dozens of categories. One of the rooms is for Chapter Books alone. Our popular ‘Kids Only’ afternoon, from 1 to 4:30 on Thursday, gives kids the first dibs on those books. Parents can relax with a cup of coffee while the kids, supervised, carry a tote box or bag, and take their time to handle and look through the books.
  • Most of our adult books are $1 or $2 and although we have been told by shoppers we could price them higher, we prefer to keep our customers happy.
  • This is all possible through the generous support of our church and community. The proceeds help us reach out to others, including the Kanata Food Cupboard.

Please mark the dates on your calendar and tell your family, friends and neighbours. You won’t be disappointed.
